Confession and Head Banging

Okay, so I like all kinds of music. This song, Paranoid Psycho is one of my favorites currently. I do not know why!!! Today my g i r l s were head banging to it. It is hilarious! You can tell I just gave a talk in church last month on uplifting music. :)

Weekend in Dallas

This was our last trip to Dallas before school starts and we had a great time! The first place we went when we arrived was to Snowcone Lady. She has quite a legacy. She went from a small booth to an actual building. I think she will be famous one day. By far the world's greatest snow cones! Man, I miss her. My favorite is Cotton Candy!!!

Hil and the g i r l s met us at Snowcone Lady and we all had a treat then visited at their house! For those of you who don't know Hil was one of my first friends in Frisco and she has five g i r l s now. Her four oldest are the exact same ages as mine. It was easy for us all to become and stay friends. Bella and Emma Jean are so close now! They always want to call each other on the phone and Bella draws pictures for Emma and talks about her constantly. They are so cute! Ken at her dad's pool. Sassy!I always try to go to Bueno when I go to Dallas but I was jipped this trip! I order the chicken quesadilla. It's the best ever! Life is better with Bueno! (Is this even their slogan?? Haha)The g i r l s with the Rogers s. They had a blast. I love this picture of Gigi!!!Angel, Michael and I had the BEST time with Photo Booth on my laptop! It can distort your body in all sorts of ways. We were rolling! Tears coming down... This is one example.This is what happens when they go to their dad's house :) JK Bella had a fight with toothpaste obviously!Monday with Ku'ulei and kidsI was so psyched when gas was this price! Yay. Since when is this a blessing though? I guess we take what we can get. BUT, I got gas today at Wal Mart for $3.54. Wow! (Thanks Shannon for the tip)Don't be fooled! This trip was pretty nightmarish! Do you really believe they would all be sleeping. Yeah right! Braelyn just told them to pretend. Man, if only they did sleep. Bella was the only one who slept on the ride.I will leave you with a comment Cali made when we were a little over half way home. It really was not a good trip. Cali was not good. There, I just narrowed down why the trip was bad. :) Anyway, Cali wanted food and she said "I can never stay alive like this!" I felt the same way! It felt way nice to arrive home.

Roller Skating Frenzy

Last Tuesday my friend invited us to go roller skating with her family at a local rink. It was $2.oo Tuesday so it was packed! And hot! These pictures were taken before any skating took place. Cali and Bella have not skated much before if at all so it was really quite an experience. You know how they say that the most valiant spirits were saved for the last days, I know that is true with my little Bella. She is the most stubborn child I have ever met. She would not let me help her skate, she was on her bottom more than on her feet :) and she would not let me help her up, nothing! So, it took her, Cali and me about ten minutes to make it around the rink one time. And in that time I got pummeled by some teenage kid who was playing chase and smacked right into me. :) All part of the skating fun though. I am impressed with the rink and we are hoping to go back before school starts. It was way fun!

They're Turning Into Prunes!

We swim all the time! It's free and requires no gas usage so it's where we find ourselves almost every other day. The newest development at our pool are the additions of Cali and Bella in the deep end. All they want to do now is swim in the deep end. When we first started swimming they were in the shallow end and then they'd want to go in the other pool, then when we'd go there they would want to go back to the main pool, then they'd want to go to the 4 foot. It's always something more. Well, now girls, there isn't anywhere else to go and I am so happy and proud that they can swim so well.

I know, they're hardly babies anymore! We are having a really good time together this summer. Writing that reminded me of something a kid said today when we were leaving the pool... he told his dad "look that lady has four babies. Four babies came out of her stomach..." I thought it was so funny.

Summer Days

Our summer has consisted of lots of different things. Mostly we swim and hang out and do things here and there with friends. Our days are busy but this has probably been the best summer ever. We are having fun and are enjoying our free time. I have posted a few random pictures of us during the last week. I put captions under them. We are not looking forward to school starting again but we still have quite a bit of time left so we are happy. We are planning a trip to Dallas in a couple weeks and we are looking forward to seeing all our friends again.

This was so crazy to go to the park in Houston, in July, right in the middle of the day!!! My friend's little boy said he felt like he was in the bbq! Yeah! That is the perfect description. This was the gang when we left. Hot and sweaty mess!Braelyn was not in the picture so this is her right as we climbed in the car. Shiny face ;)

Cali was pretty sick today. We pulled her hair up on her head and took her picture. She is gorgeous even when she's sick.

Ken said she wanted me to take her picture like this because she looks like me when I get out of the shower. I must look super cute because she looks adorable. I think the pic turned out great :)
As you can see, nothing too overly exciting but this is what fills our days and makes them enjoyable. Well, this and making lots of new friends!!! Friends- wink wink

4th of July and Weekend With Mom

Last week was fun filled with my friend Amber coming from Tuesday through Thursday and my mom visiting from Thursday until today (Monday). We did a lot of swimming and hanging out. Our 4th of July was fun. We went to the pancake breakfast at a local park with our ward. The 4th is also Kamryn's birthday, she turned 13. That evening we had a barbeque and cake and ice cream for Kami. We went over to our friend's house and lit fireworks in their street. It was so much fun! I fell off a scooter and scraped up my foot and Bella fell off a bike then a spark from one of the sparkler's landed on top of my head. I thought for sure I would walk away with a bald spot, but fortunately only a little hair was singed. Everyone had fun! Saturday evening we went to The Woodlands to listen to a friend play guitar at Potbelly Sandwiches and to have dinner with my mom. It was a good weekend.
